June 2013

Beautiful flowers from our Clematis plants.
These cookie monsters were excited to make cookies.

Picnic in the back.  They made their own sandwiches.
Just playing!

June marked the end of our two month floor replacement project.  Ty installed wood floor in the upstairs bedroom----one at a time.  It was a lot of work, and every home improvement project turns into a Pandora box (while we had the floor torn up, I thought we might as well paint the ceilings and stain the bunk beds.)  We had carpet installed in our family room, and the house is mostly put back together.

Chloe is such a fun and funny girl.  She is constantly making a surprised looking face and saying "whoa."  She thinks she's a big kid, and she is starting to walk all by herself.

We came home just in time for the kids to head over to the ward carnival party at Brother Aragon's house.  Here's pictures of the kids riding horses.  Chloe and I stayed home in order to unpack and recover.

Enjoying his first time on a pony.
Jackie and Wes reached huge milestones this month by learning to ride their bikes WITHOUT training wheels.  Jackie had been having a hard time riding without training wheels.   Leon Clark gave her a ride home from his boys' baseball game and said that he would teach her.  He told me that she would be riding in less than an hour because he would teach her at Green Acres Parking lot, which is flat and open.  We took her over.  Wes wanted to go too.  Within the hour, they were both riding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TOAD'S

We went to Toad's Fun Zone.  Thankfully Amanda Rhoades came with me.  The kids are too short to ride the go-karts by themselves so one of us road with the kids while the other one waited with the rest.  We are very grateful that Amanda came with us.

ROHMER PARK
The kids and I love to take park adventures and try out new parks.  Rohmer Park is in Washington Terrace.  There was nobody else there most of the time.  They had some fun slides.  The kids had fun being silly.
